Line bottom and sides of a round, square or rectangular pan with plastic wrap or aluminum foil. Cover bottom of pan with ½ inch (1 cm) thick of crumbled Oreo cookies. Spread vanilla ice cream, 1 ½ inch /3 cm thick, on top of cookies. Cover with crumbled Oreo cookies (1/2 inch / 1 cm thick). Cover pan and freeze until ice cream is hard.
Invert onto a serving dish and remove plastic or foil.
Optional: Pour Butterscotch over dessert.
Preparation time: 15 minutes + 3 hours freezer
