QUINCE JELLY
Ingredients :
3 large quinces, rinsed and halved
8 cups of water
1 ¼ cups of sugar
Juice of 1 lemon
Preparation:
Place quince halves in a medium size saucepan and add the water.
Bring to a boil over low heat, covered, until quince is soft and tender, approximately 1 hour.
Strain liquid without pressing quinces. Pour liquid (2 cups) into a saucepan and add sugar and lemon juice. Bring to a boil until mixture thickens slightly. Pour into sterilized jars.
Prepare
Jellied Quinces
with the fruit.
