CHRISTMAS SALAD   
  Ingredients :
    2 cups corn kernels
    1 cup string beans cut in 1 ½- inch pieces
    1 pineapple, peeled and cut in small pieces
    1 cup sugar
    2 cups raw carrot, shredded
    1 cup cooked peas
    ½ fresh figs, cut in 8, lengthwise
    2 cups mayonnaise

  Preparation:

Cook kernels and string beans until tender.

In a medium size pan, bring to a boil the pineapple with water and sugar until tender.

Combine all ingredients except carrots, peas and mayonnaise.

Transfer to a tube cake pan and press. Unmold.

Combine mayonnaise with peas and place them in the center.

Arrange shredded carrots around salad.
