DEBORAHS BROWNIES   
  Ingredients :
    1 cup (8 oz) margarine or butter
    2/3 cup cocoa
    2 cups sugar
    4 eggs, lightly beaten
    1 cup flour
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    ½ teaspoon salt
    Confectioners sugar to dust over brownies

  Preparation:

Melt butter in a medium size pan. Add cocoa and mix.

Remove from fire and add sugar, stir and cool for 5 minutes.

Add beaten eggs, stirring constantly.

Sift in flour and salt. Mix and add vanilla.

Transfer to a greased, rectangular baking pan. Bake in oven at 350 °F (180 °C) for 40 minutes approximately, or until it pulls away slightly from the sides of pan.

Cut, while hot in 2 x 2 inch (4 x 4 cm) squares. Remove each square with a metal spatula and transfer to a serving platter. Sift confectioners sugar on top.
