MEAT LOAF   
  Ingredients :
    ½ lb (500 g) ground beef
    1 egg
    2 tablespoon oats
    1 cup tomato sauce (fresh or canned)
    2 tablespoons onion, finely chopped
    ¼ teaspoon dried thyme
    ¼ teaspoon dried marjoram
    1 tablespoon brown sugar
    1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
    1 teaspoon mustard
    Salt
    Pepper

  Preparation:

Combine ground beef, egg, oats, onion, half of the tomato sauce, thyme, marjoram, salt and pepper. Shape into a loaf to fit a 9x5 inch (18x10) loaf pan. It is important that meat does not touch the sides of the pan. Cover with wax paper and microwave at HIGH (100%) for 5 minutes. Remove from microwave and pour off juices.

Stir brown sugar, Worcestershire and remaining tomato sauce. Spoon tomato glaze coating top and sides of loaf. Cover with wax paper, return to oven and microwave at LOW (30%) for 17 to 20 minutes.

Remove from oven, cover with foil and let stand for 5 minutes.
