    COCADAS / Coconut Macaroons     

   Ingredients :
 
8 egg whites
2 cups sugar
1 cup condensed milk
1 lb 2 oz (500 g) shredded coconut

   Preparation:

Beat egg whites until foamy. Gradually add sugar and continue beating until stiff. Add condensed milk with shredded coconut.

Drop spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet.Bake in preheated oven 300F (180C) for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden.Remove from oven and cool.
        Approximately 20 macaroons
