Combine cheeses and rest of ingredients. Place in a medium size saucepan together with the whole garlic cloves.
Bring to a boil and lower heat, stirring frequently, until cheeses melt . Correct seasoning and remove garlic cloves.
Dilute cornstarch in pisco or kirsh, and add it to the cheese cream. Boil, while stirring, for one minute.
Pour fondue into a fondue casserole. Serve with pieces of baguette bread.
