In the language of ancient Perú
yanuq
meant hearth, home...
My mother used to make a dish called "Carne a la cubana". All I remember is that it was with delicious strips of beef, I think, dipped in egg and bread crumbs or possibly flour, fried and then flavoured with something…. thats the bit that I cannot remember at all. If you have any idea I would be grateful, I havent had it for over 30 years.

I live in Vancouver, Canada. Where can I buy huacatay sprigs as used in Ocopa and Pachamanca?

Hi, I love your site! Perhaps you can help me. I am looking desperately for a recipe for a cake my grandmother from Mollendo, Peru used to make when I would visit Peru as a child. It was delicioso! The best I know, it was made with naranjas. I need the recipe as soon as possible. My friends and I want to make a birthday cake for my baby girl who will be 1 in July. Thank you for your time, Dios los bendiga,
Mari
