    BAKED LEEKS     

   Ingredients :
 
2 lb (1 k) leeks, rinsed, cut in 2 ½ in. (5 cm) pieces
4 tablespoons soft butter
2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
3 teaspoons mustard
Salt
Pepper

   Preparation:

Cook leeks (white and light green part) in salted boiling water for 10 minutes.

Drain and place leeks in a rectangular, shallow baking dish.

Combine butter with cheese and mustard. Season to taste.

Spread this mixture over leeks and bake in preheated oven at 400 °F (180 °C) until slightly golden.
